Mr. Robot Is Bringing a Massive Ferris Wheel to SXSW
Mr. Robot is heading to Austin for South by Southwest! From Friday, Mar. 11 through Monday, Mar. 14, fsociety will be setting up shop in the Congress Avenue parking lot with more than six customized experiences.
A tribute to its iconic setting, the crown jewel of the event will be a one-of-a-kind 100-foot Ferris wheel set up on West 4th and Congress that will give you the full Elliot and Mr. Robot experience. Fans will also be able to enter a recreated fsociety lair and play retro videogames in the hacker arcade, and visit a freestanding 8-foot-high graffiti art wall that will be covered in fsociety postings and stencil artwork.
After all of this immersion into fsociety, festival-goers can stop by a custom screen-printing bar to pick up a limited edition Mr. Robot printed t-shirt and take photos in a provocative photo booth that will allow them to stand alongside the hacktivists who are fearlessly fighting for the 99%. Also, a vintage, basement-inspired hacker lounge will allow fans to relax and watch the pilot.
For people looking to experience even more Mr. Robot at SXSW, on Sunday, Mar. 13, Christian Slater, Rami Malek, and Sam Esmail will be part of a panel discussion on “Authenticity on TV” at the Austin Convention Center.
