ABOUT THE MOVIE

In the 1920's, treasure-seeking explorers Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) and his friend, Beni, come across the hidden ruins of Hamunaptra. There, they discover the body of Imhotep, an Egyptian priest who was mummified and left to an eternity as one of the living dead for falling in love with the Pharaoh's mistress.

When Rick and Beni accidentally resurrect him, they unwittingly set loose a 3,000-year-old legacy of terror. As the mummy begins to use his powers to reclaim his long-lost love, the battle for survival begins.
