ABOUT THE BOURNE IDENTITY

Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is rescued at sea, nearly dead with nothing but bullets in his back and the bank account number rooted in his hip. Bourne is disoriented and guarded as he is forced into a vital search to discover who he is.

He quickly realizes that although he does not know his own identity, others do and are after him. Jason Bourne's past extends from Europe to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, where Treadstone, an underground operation is based.

Bourne later learns of a safe deposit box in Zurich, which holds a collection of passports, a large amount of cash, and a name, with a Paris address. After finding the safe box, he meets Marie Kreutz (Franka Potente) who provides a ride to Paris for $10,000.

As Bourne and Marie struggle to stay below the radar in France, Treadstone is focused on tracking them down and neutralizing Bourne as quickly as possible.
