ABOUT THE MOVIE

Fletcher Reede (Jim Carrey) is a fast-talking attorney and habitual liar. After Fletcher makes yet another promise to his son Max (Justin Cooper) that he doesn¿t keep, Max blows out the candles on his fifth birthday cake and makes a wish: that his father stop lying for 24 hours. Amazingly, Max's wish comes true, and Fletcher suddenly discovers that his big mouth, which has always been his most valuable asset, has now become his biggest liability. Completely unable to stop himself from blurting out frank opinions and uncensored truths, havoc ensues as Fletcher tries to keep his practice afloat and his ex-wife Audrey (Maura Tierney) from taking Max and moving away.
