When insurance investigators Jesse Grant (Coupling's Colin Ferguson) and Susan Vercillino (Paycheck's Claudette Mink) attempt to recover some embezzled money for one of their clients, they soon begin to realize that this particular case is much more dangerous than any of the cases they have investigated before. Hot on the trail of the stolen money, the two intrepid investigators are shocked to discover that a number of female bank employees have been murdered - and that a serial killer is likely on the loose. Jesse and Susan begin to suspect that the women are being seduced, convinced to steal money from their employer, and then murdered, and the evidence begins to point to a charming and handsome con artist named Art Kirkland (Starsky & Hutch's Paul Michael Glaser). But what Susan and Jesse don't immediately suspect is that there are in fact two murderers at work - and that they are a father and son team. Can they stop the serial killers before they strike again? Based on actual events.
