Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, musical brothers
Evan and Jaron initially pursued careers as professional baseball players. Although completely committed to an athletic career, Evan always kept their dad's old guitar propped in the corner of his room because he thought it looked cool. With the passage of time, the brothers realized that the guitar might actually get them more girls than the bat ... and probably more hits too!
Shortly thereafter, they formed a pop/rock duo, which eventually became known as "Evan and Jaron" (a radical depature from the act's original name, "Jaron and Evan"). After being discovered by Jimmy Buffett, they scored three Top 40 hits, including the Top 10 smash "Crazy For This Girl." They have toured with an array of artists, including Sting, Heart, The Dixie Chicks and Maroon5.
After over 10 years in the music business, the brothers took a much-needed break to pursue other endeavors, including screenwriting, producing, acting, inventing, and Evan even started a family. The brothers are finally heading back into the studio this fall to record their first record in over four years. They currently split time between Los Angeles and Nashville.

What's on your playlist? A raucous music mix that my sister made for my mom that I, in turn, took and now listen to while I run. I have no idea who any of the artists are or what the heck any of them are saying (do I sound like your grandmother?)
Three things I couldn't live without:
I'm assuming you mean aside from the obvious (family, friends, beano, etc)...
- A 19" bicep
- A private jet
- A monkey named Raymond
What's your secret talent?
I'm an Emergency Medical Technician -- if that's, in fact, a talent.
What's the craziest thing I've ever done?
Driving way too fast while talking on my cell phone and emailing on my blackberry ... at the same time ... today.
Worst bet I ever made?
I'm not a betting man ... except when it comes to my career, and then I'm all in, all the time.
What bad movie do I love most?
Hollywood makes bad movies? I wasn't aware.
What's your pet peeve?
when people try to give clever answers to dumb questions so people will think they're really cool.
Golf with Tiger Woods or hoop it up with Michael Jordan?
Whichever one wouldn't mind getting whooped up on.
If it never made me fat or unhealthy, I would eat this the rest of my life:
Soy steak strips with melted cheese and alfalfa sprouts on top of rice cakes. HA! Gotcha. I don't know, probably pizza.
