Aquarium of the Pacific Kicks Wally World's Butt!!!
Can you feed otters, sea lions, and sharks at Wally World? I didn't think so.
When Evan and I got to the Aquarium of the Pacific, we quickly realized there was way too much for us to do there. The only way we would get to really appreciate all the park had to offer, was to split up and tackle it alone. Well, not exactly alone.
Evan went off with one of our characters, Steve Blair, the shark guru - or whatever his official title is, and I spent the day with our other character, Michele Sousa, the trainer of the friendly looking animals. I say friendly looking because I quickly learned that sea otters, while cuddly looking, are more vicious than Hannibal Lector. They're even housed in a similar looking facility.
Evan swam with the sharks and fed them and that's about all I know until I see the episode. I wasn't there. I spoke with him and he said he had fun. There you go.
As for me, I got to feed "Hannibal" behind the two inch thick plexy- glass window and he even slapped me a few "high fives." I might also mention, he gorges himself like a skater kid with the munchies. He eats 25% of his body weight daily! That's like me.
Then it was time to meet the sea lion. I forget his name too, but he was friendly. We danced and he sang the theme song from Friends. He was pretty good. Fell off key a few times, but he's a freakin' sea lion!
Michele was really great about making sure I got my money's worth (okay USA's) and she made my visit to Aquarium of the Pacific a memorable one. I'm sure Evan felt the same way about Steve Blair. They made us feel welcome so we'll make them feel welcome. And you know who else is welcome? All characters.
Until next time sports fans,
