I'm a 21-year-old BROKE college student who wants to have the awesome Hollywood starlet glowy, dewy skin. HOW DO I GET IT? I'm very interested in knowing what products I could use to get that look.

P.S. You're freaking gorgeous and I love your style.

Dear Sandra,
I love that superstar glow, too! Ya know, it's actually quite simple to achieve ... it really IS about less being more when it comes to the right foundation and application.

  1. Apply a lightweight moisturizer that finishes with a sheen coverage.
  2. Next, select your foundation. Avoid thick, matte effects of applying foundation with a sponge, or even sometimes fingertips. I LOVE Self-Defining Sheer Artistry foundation, because it works on ANY skin type with a flawless finish that almost looks opalescent on moisturized skin. Using a DRY BLUSH BRUSH, "paint" your foundation on only in areas where more coverage seems necessary. You'll get a great blend with the fibers of a brush, rather than anything else!
  3. At this point your skin should have just enough of that natural glow for day-to-day wear. However, if you want more of that luminescent red-carpet effect, use a MINERAL PIGMENT and brush lightly along the planes of your face where light catches most, (i.e. bridge of nose, temples, brow highlight, even chin.) I love Flicker from NAO, it's perfect for a little sizzle at night!! Shine on girl!!
  4. :)
