BEAUTY AND FASHION TIPS #4
Each week, Jeannie will offer up some of her best beauty and fashion tips that you can use for your very own Character Fantasy makeover!
EASY WAYS TO GO FROM DAY TO EVENING:
When the day gets dark, you've got to bling it up! Take shimmers like NAO Mineral Pigments and sweep a neutral shade along the planes of your face to highlight, (e.g. outer temples, bridge of nose, cheekbones, and sexy showing skin like your clavicle or legs.)
Pick one feature of your face (eyes, cheeks or lips), and darken the hues a bit with either liner for eyes, bronzer for cheeks, or a bolder lip color or gloss for lips. Be careful not to overdo it.
I also like to refresh my hair by switching sides to my part for more volume, or backcombing the roots underneath for an extra oomph.
FALL FASHION DO'S AND DON'TS:
DO invest in a neutral, fun, snuggly pashmina or adorable "grandma" sweater wrap that can be squished in your bag without fuss. It should feel like your favorite childhood blanket -- non-itchy, cuddly with character -- and use it to drape over your shoulders for brisk nights and cold indoor settings.
Spray your favorite yummy, winter scent -- pumpkin, spice, sugar cookie -- all over it so that it's so your thing to look forward to putting on. Oh, and for jet setters like me, how awesome is it to turn down those thin, lifeless blankets for your 'lil piece of heaven on a freezing aircraft!?? Woohoo :)
DON'T spend money buying more Fall shoes than you need. Instead, get creative with your summer heels! Take advantage of the legwear trend in opaque, sheer, or lacy tights, ankle socks, and knee-hi's to wear with your open toe heels for a creative fun flair.
Simply pick Fall tones to play down the summer selection colors, and work on matching from the bottom up, or just rock with basic blacks. (e.g, pink heels with brown tights)
