CONSTANCE SLAMS THIS BABY OUT!
Dude ... poetry is such a versatile art. It's weaved in so many different ways for writers, musicians, and especially the world of spoken word.
I've never in my life experienced the technique behind getting on stage to open your heart, so today was pretty intense to see how people open such an intimate side to an audience of opinions.
Constance, though, is the perfect platform to hear her voice. What a sweet, positive, energetic girl! I love how enthusiastic she was to speak about women collaborating to support one another.
I have to admit, I was a little nervous for her the moments before she went onstage. Not at all because I thought she wouldn't do great -- cuz I knew she would -- but because she was such a wreck of nerves beforehand that I almost wanted to be up there with her!
Well, after a few deep breaths, a couple trips to the bathroom (hee hee), and a crowd full of encouraging minds, Constance slammed a home run.
