Lucas Davenport

Lucas Davenport (Mark Harmon) is the Deputy Chief of Police for the city of Minneapolis but he doesn't need this job or any job. He could have retired a long time ago with money he earned from selling his computer company, but he loves his work and he's good at it. But Davenport is not your typical cop. He doesn't mind doing something illegal to solve a case. Even though Davenport has a team of people working for him, he prefers to work alone. And he's a bit of a womanizer with a need for speed and fancy cars.

When society maven Barbara Allen is killed and a police officer is wounded, Lucas is on the case. He's determined to catch ever-elusive prime suspect, professional hit woman Clara Rinker, and her partner in crime, who he believes is the overconfident defense attorney Carmel Loan. Davenport just needs proof, and the longer it takes for him to get it, the more people seem to end up dead. Lucas has a great track record for catching criminals and he'll do whatever it takes to make sure it stays that way.
