Tell us a little about yourself in a few sentences: I am the middle child of five kids and developed the lifelong skill of acting strange to get attention. What began at home, soon poured over into my school life and followed me into adulthood. I honestly never thought I could make a living doing exactly what it is that makes me tick, but now I'm determined to make the world appreciate my weirdness. Normal is boring; unless I can do an impression of it.
What drew you to doing impressions? My absolute favorite pastime is people-watching. I know a lot of people say that, but it really has always been something I've loved to do and I’ve probably looked creepy many, many times doing. My husband actually gives me the better seat in a restaurant for scanning the room and we call it my "ivory tower." I can't believe I just admitted that. I have always been so intrigued by the different ways people talk and behave; idiosyncrasies are so endearing! Impressions are a way for me to pay homage to the people I find to be the most interesting.
Who was your comedic inspiration? The entire cast of SNL from 1975 to 2016.
Why do you think you’ll be America’s favorite impressionist? What my impressions may lack in accuracy, they'll make up for with total silliness. I sometimes throw out the technical aspect just to make sure I'm having fun and I'm making the people around me laugh. My impressions are a reflection of me falling in love with people's subtle mannerisms and then really heightening them for comedic effect without (intentionally) taking cheap shots. Plus, I'm adorable.
