An unscrupulous employee of the multinational financial firm Hull-Bedford, Woody Hammond is one of the select few who can enter other peoples dreams. He uses his gift for everything from insider trading to coaxing women into falling for him. Viewing dreamers like himself as a commodity, he even tries brokering the sale of a young dreamer to businessman Bill Boerg who wishes to harness the boy’s power.

Perhaps the only person Woody truly cares about was is childhood friend Tess Brighton. It is ironic then, that unbeknownst to Woody, the boy he is selling turns out to be Tess’s son James.

Woody eventually catches the attention of his firm’s “fixer”, Burton Mann. Burton manages to foil Woody’s sale of James, helping Tess and her son get to safety.

Still, it’s only a matter of time before Woody finds his next hustle. And given his talent for dreaming, it should come as no surprise if he finds himself going back up against Burton again.
