Was Eyewitness 106, “The Yellow Couch,” an emotional roller coaster or what!? Going in, we knew all about Lukas yelling at Philip to “stop stalking me!” But that was one of several emotionally strenuous moments between our beloved #Philkas. Check out how Twitter reacted to that and more below.
“Stop stalking me!”
We saw in previews going into 106 that this little moment was going to break our hearts this week, and break our hearts it did. When Lukas finds out that Philip told Helen he was at the cabin the night of the murders, he goes ice cold, refusing to talk to him public and leaving his texts unanswered.
Lukas sticks with Rose.
With his post-traumatic stress in kicking into high gear, Lukas turns to his girlfriend, Rose, to snag some painkillers from her mom. It’s a deterioration in character we hate to see -- he makes it so hard to love him! We can’t help but knowingly smile, though, when he criticizes Rose for not shooting his Motocross stunts right (see: not as well as Philip).
Helen doesn’t believe Philip.
With Lukas refusing to cooperate, Philip being caught in a lie about Anne’s boyfriend’s death, and Helen unable to find any evidence that Lukas was at the cabin that night, Philip is drawn to be a big fat liar this episode, and fans were not happy about it.
Philip makes Lukas a walk down memory lane.
In an effort to get Lukas back, Philip edits together a video compilation of their time together. It definitely makes for one of the sweetest moments of the week and is ultimately what helps get Lukas back by Philip’s side.
But first: a devastating dinner.
This scene left us shook, how about you? In an attempt to apologize for Philip’s lying habit, Helen and Gabe have Lukas and his father over for dinner. Bad idea! Philip is forced to apologize for lying when he was telling the truth, and Lukas takes it one step further by saying that Philip forced him to steal from his dad to buy money for drugs. Vindictive much? The whole thing leads to Philip calling social services and telling them he needs to be reassigned from Helen and Gabe. Can you blame him?
Philip drinks his sorrows away.
Philip turns to tequila to make it through his troubles -- as one does. Unfortunately, that leads him to Rose’s party, wasted drunk, where he gets kicked out by Lukas and then bullied by other party-goers.
All the #Philkas drama left fans with a lot of strong feelings…
… Including some hatred for Lukas…
… But he made good in the end.
After learning that Philip was going to leave Tivoli, Lukas decides to tell the truth -- finally! He rushes over to Helen and Gabe’s just as Philip is leaving to present them with the gun and tell them that he was at the cabin and that Philip was telling the truth all along.
