When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping – at least that’s what they do if they are looking divorce down the barrel! Liz Marsh, wife of Dodger destroyer Devon Marsh, was seen all over town buying up big this week. In fact, she was even seen in a brand new Ferrari. Yes the best things do come in the smallest packages with the biggest price tags, though apparently Devon doesn’t believe that anymore. The ‘Devastator’ was seen checking into a hotel earlier this week and guests say he even had the boys stay with him one night. Commentators are speculating that Liz is ‘establishing a standard of living’ in preparation for a pending divorce, thus ensuring she gets a higher sum in her alimony payments.

Whether it was an attempt to dispel the rumors, or they just don’t care who’s talking about them, Devon and Liz had a very public lunch at a West Hollywood Korean BBQ restaurant. Diners saw Liz and Devon talking in hushed tones and some even claim that Liz was telling him, she knew about him being on the DL with a man named Campbell. Whatever she said, the young couple were holding hands and smiling at each other by the end of the meal.

We’ll see how long that lasts once he gets the VISA statement!

The celebrated Hollywood Ex-Wife Molly Kagan has been lunching with Agents and Dining with Stars. It seems Miss Molly isn’t letting a simple stalker force her into taking a low profile, well that makes sense. After all, this is one Ex that refused to go quietly.

Stalker, you say, it was only one page? Well it seems Molly also received a creepy note while dining with none other than Jolie Driver, Agent to the Stars, Ex to Molly’s boyfriend. Now we all love a scandal, and maybe Molly brought this on herself by hiring her own Ex as the Producer – but this is just getting weird. And before you geniuses at Brentwood 911 give me a call – It WASN’T ME – do you think I’d sit on the goss if I still had the journal?

Now, we know in Hollywood ‘What Goes Down, Must Come Back Up’ but Molly really has made an art in falling upwards, but at what cost?

First, Molly takes her journal to a party (obviously she hadn’t been out in a while!) and it gets “stolen”. The next day we receive some untraceable emails with delicious morsels of the workings of the Hollywood Inner circle. Then a phone call to confirm the Hollywood Ex-Wife is Molly Kagan...and the emails stop, though I do get a visit from Miss Molly herself. It all goes quiet on the journal front while Molly rises up the ranks of Mollywood, first getting an agent and then a screenplay deal with Screen Classics, paying off her Ex Kenny Kagan with the title of Producer on the way. Molly has arrived, and this time she’s not just arm candy. Then she gets a page of her journal back, It’s Not Over.

Nat and Lauren Smith were planning on giving birth on their G5 on the tarmac in Africa, and while most people don’t fly in their third trimester, that’s exactly what they did – a week after her ‘water broke’ in Fred Segal.

In the early hours of the morning, the entire Smith clan including three nannies, Ob-Gyn, anesthesiologist and make-up artist, boarded their private jet in what looked to be yet another practice run. Friends of the couple say Nat has been reticent to leave the country for the birth and was hoping Lauren would change her mind when she went into labor. Others are speculating that it was the third nanny that was actually pregnant and giving birth in Africa is a necessity to keep the surrogacy secret.

After an 11 hour flight, the G5 touched down safely in Casablanca, Morocco and Nat and Lauren Smith give birth to a bouncing baby girl – they called her Africa – thank god they didn’t have to make an emergency landing in Uzbekistan.

Friends of Felix Soel are worried, it seems he’s gone back to his daredevil ways after it was confirmed he jumped out of a helicopter during a stunt, for a joke. Back home, Felix was seen digging up his backyard after ordering a gala apple tree, and calling a press conference to make a ‘big announcement’, that he never attended. Maybe he just got stage fright.

Maybe it’s just research.

It seems Miss Molly has become quite the mover and shaker, not only did she meet with Jolie Driver for lunch this week, but she also had a dinner party for her close friends. Guests included Lou Manahan and his bride to be, Alizee, Felix Soel and his designer Rodney Evans, Zach McNeill and Liz Marsh – sans Devon. But what was the occasion for this little soiree? Well, this is Hollywood; one doesn’t imbibe food without the possibility of it resulting in work, and unless there’s talks of a movie version of the ‘Devon Marsh’ story, then my bet is Soel is hunting for the lead role in Manahan’s latest venture.

In a rare move for the Hollywood King of Franchises, Manahan has green lit a Shakespeare project ‘Othello’, pending star. After Baz Luhrman’s box office smash of Romeo and Juliet, with Leo Dicaprio and Clare Danes, Manahan said the choice of the Director was an easy one.

‘Australia’ Director Luhrman, who ended his red curtain trilogy with ‘Moulin Rouge’, is expected to turn ‘Othello’ into a modern day musical, so the star will have to sing. Soel may have thrown his hat into the ring, but he’ll be competing with Will Smith and Lenny Kravitz. Speculation has already begun as to whether Nicole Kidman will take the role of Desdemona or if Scarlett Johansson’s music career will pay off for her after all.

Othello 1 might be a gamble, but who’s going to see ‘Othello 2 – Fool Me Twice’?
