The former boss at CSI, Jim Brass has been shifted back to homicide. This puts him at odds with Gil Grissom, and often puts him back at the crime scene with members of the team he used to supervise. The detectives and the investigators all want the same things, but sometimes their good intentions - cop versus scientist - collide.

Paul Guilfoyle has been featured in more than 70 feature films, including "Air Force One," "Primary Colors," "The Negotiator," "Amistad," "In Dreams," "Random Hearts," "L.A. Confidential," "Striptease," "Extreme Measures," "Ransom," "Final Analysis," "Cadillac Man," "Quiz Show," "Wall Street," "Session 9" and "American Violet." He also appeared in the HBO film "Live from Baghdad."
