The Resistance starts things off with a bang (crash, actually), staging an ambush that puts Will in the awkward position of protecting Proxy Snyder from his wife Katie, in a game of twisting allegiances and competing agendas playing out inside the stifling confines of the Yoknapatawpha. [Warning: Contains Episode Spoilers!]
Proxy Snyder’s Short Leash
Helena Goldwin, the Chief of Staff of the Governor General of California, talks to her bosses about Proxy Snyder’s sham trial of the fake Geronimo. Snyder doesn’t have much rope, as Helena says ominously: “He either gets things under control or he gives us the justification we need.”
It’s an Ambush!
In a 98-second rush -- the time it takes the drones to arrive -- Resistance fighters, including Katie on the stopwatch, try to break into Snyder’s car and snatch him, but they’re foiled by a quick-thinking Will, who gets Snyder to safety.
Katie Gets Physical
Katie tries to deliver Snyder to the Resistance fighters waiting outside the Yonk, but Will stops her. After telling Katie earlier that he’s negotiating to get their son Charlie back, and that he was taking Will to meet Helena, Snyder reminds Will and Katie that he’s their best bad option.
The Perfect Candidate
We learn that the Hosts knew everything about everyone before they arrived, thanks to their giant “Rolodex”. Every person in the Colony was filtered through an algorithm; it’s how they knew who to recruit.
Katie Chooses Sides (Again)
Katie kills a fellow Resistance fighter to save Will, then stares down Broussard, demonstrating that family trumps ideology.
