Colony star Josh Holloway visited CBS's show The Talk on Monday, where he explained the downside of performing his own stunt in last week's episode "Tamam Shud."
Holloway loves doing his own stunts, but unlike his characters who manage to walk away unscathed, the Colony actor can end up a bit worse for wear, as he did when shooting season two this year.
"I love to do action stuff," Holloway told the Talk hosts on Monday. "I grew up with three brothers and do all of my stunts, but you get injured. I got injured this year in jujitsu right before [shooting Colony] ... and then I healed up. But then I had this stunt to do! I had to run from a sniper and across the field."
Colony fans will know exactly the moment Holloway was referring to from episode nine of this season!
"I'm like, 'You don't run from a sniper from across a field; you're dead!'" Holloway continued. "So they put some bushes up and I ran and I hurdled them. I was like, 'That's not really going to stop the sniper [either].' So they piled them up a little bigger and I dove through the bushes and rolled, but on my fourth roll, I didn't roll so well. I more flopped."
As far as we're concerned, the stunt was worth it! Holloway was right; it did make the scene more realistic. Maybe too realistic?
