Tory Kittles emerged as a Colony fan favorite over the past two seasons, but -- as Eric Broussard can attest -- when you’re in the Resistance, you can never be sure who to trust. Even Katie was suspect, but Broussard proved himself to be an invaluable resource and leader to the Resistance.
Broussard returned to L.A. from working private security hoping for a break, but immediately found himself fighting an alien invasion. Take a look back at Broussard’s nine most pivotal moments as a Resistance leader, as we get ready for Season 3 of Colony. [Warning: Contains spoilers for Seasons 1 & 2!]
9. Saying No To Carlos’s Family
Season 1, Episode 2 “A Brave New World”
Katie has a generous heart, but Broussard knows the Resistance can’t afford to be kind. He refused Katie’s request to help Carlos. As Broussard said, he wished their resources were infinite. Since they’re not, the Resistance has to make tough choices, and Broussard was the one to make the choice.
8. Timing the Drones’ Arrival
Season 1, Episode 3, “98 Seconds”
Broussard and Katie held up a transport, but it was all a tactic to time the response. It took 98 seconds for Rap drones to arrive, as the title suggests. During that minute and a half, Broussard held off neighbors and kept his cool when Justin Kim got shot. Broussard even finished Justin off in a mercy killing since he was already done for.
7. Taking The Time For Romance
Season 2, Episode 5, “Company Man”
Broussard made a rare journey above ground to deliver audio to Hennesy. Oh yeah, and also to hook up with his lady. Who says Broussard is all business?
6. Staging Dwight Ford’s Death
Season 1, Episode 7, “Broussard”
It won’t do to have Homeland Security looking for Broussard, even if they think his name is Dwight Ford. So Broussard makes sure Dwight Ford is dead, stealing a look-alike body and setting it ablaze in an SUV. That’ll buy him some time to scope intel for the Resistance!
5. Commandeering the SUV, An Epic Stare-Down, And More!
Season 2, Episode 10, “The Garden of Beasts”
The plan to escape the Colony is full of pivotal Broussard moments. Who on the collaborator side can penetrate his unwavering stare? Then he commandeers an SUV to make it through the checkpoint. The SUV doesn’t survive, but Broussard did and he got some intel on the Raps’ hunt for Will.
4. Posing As A Redhat
Season 1, Episode 4, “Blind Spot”
The best way to sneak around the Raps is to pose as one of their Redhat army. The beret kinda suits Broussard, and he scoots by undetected. He was able to take out Phyllis, who was onto Katie's role in the rebellion, in her own home.
3. Letting Will And Snyder Escape
Season 1, Episode 6, “Yoknapatawpha”
Still undercover as a Redhat, Broussard intercepts a raid on Will and Snyder’s convoy. He shoots their escort so Will and Snyder can bolt. Helps to have a man on the inside!
2. Wiping Out The Red Hand
Season 2, Episode 2, “Seppuku”
The Red Hand is a threat to the actual Resistance and Broussard knows it. So he leads the charge to wipe out this nuisance. They easily kill the Red Hand leader Karen Brun and get back the Rap gauntlet.
1. Staying Behind
Season 2, Episode 13, “Ronin”
When all looks lost for the L.A. bloc, Broussard refuses the chance to leave with Will and Katie. We certainly hope Broussard lives to fight another day in L.A., but it’s looking pretty bleak as the Raps move forward with total extermination.
