Dear Chrisley Nation:
Hello again! It’s nice to be back after our little hiatus, although it seems like things are crazier than ever. We have a lot of exciting announcements in the works -- and, of course, I’m not supposed to talk about any of them -- so I’ll just say, stay tuned!
One thing I can mention is that the Chrisleys are going to be in the next Sharknado movie! It’s going to be me, Savannah, and Grayson in Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, which airs Friday, July 1, on USA's sister network Syfy. I won’t spoil anything, but by now, everyone should know that there are sharks and tornadoes involved...
Speaking of TV appearances, it was SO MUCH FUN to do Lip Sync Battle with NeNe Leakes. We had a blast. And to be honest, I was terrified. All I can say is thank God Chase was there, or I don’t know that I would have gone through with it. I was terrified right up until the moment I had to go onstage, but I knew he was in the audience and the only thing that scared me more than performing, was that Chase would think his father didn’t have the balls to go through with it.
The response to Lip Sync was hilarious. Everyone was going on and on about my legs (let's be honest -- they are nice) and NOT about my pasties. I guess I’m more of a leg man! NeNe was amazing though, wasn’t she? I just love her so much.
Also, I have to thank everyone who sent well wishes to my mom, who -- as many of you know -- fell down three weeks ago and wound up in the hospital! She’s in physical therapy four times a week now, and even though she’s not quite 100%, she’s doing MUCH better. But I hope she doesn’t plan on heading to the casino soon! That’s where she fell down, and if she thinks we’re letting her go back in there, she’s crazier than I thought!
Now, onto this week’s episode…
I like when you get to see the times Savannah screws up because -- even though it happens WAY MORE with Chase -- it’s good to be reminded that she’s not perfect either. I’m so proud of my girl and she’s become such an amazing role model for young people, but no one should forget that she’s still very young herself and she’s going to make mistakes -- like lie to us!
As parents, the most important thing we can do is love our children unconditionally, but still let them know when they do things we don’t like. And that’s exactly what goes down in this episode. Listen, your kids are always going to do what they feel like doing, but where do they go when everything falls apart? That’s right -- straight to Mommy and Daddy!
Now, how great was my Grayson in this episode? Chase didn’t see that one coming or he might’ve have taken the match a little more seriously -- instead of showing up like Fred Flintstone going to the Bedrock bowling alley. I have to say though, my favorite part of watching this week’s episode was seeing Julie ringside, giggling at the boys as they were wrestling. I love them all so much, and I’m truly blessed by this family. I’m so proud of each and every one of them and I feel like there’s nothing we can’t get through as long as we go through it together as a family.
And while we’re on the topic of family, THANK YOU to everyone who registered for the Can You Chrisley? sweepstakes! We are so humbled by the overwhelming number of people who entered and I’m happy to announce that we have a winner! Susan H. from Lansing, MI, I hope you’re ready to spend the day in Nashville, Chrisley-style!
As for everyone else, we can’t thank you enough for supporting this family week over week. It’s means the world to us. God bless you and talk to you next week.
