Dear Chrisley Nation:
All I can say right now is THANK YOU. On behalf of this family, we are truly humbled by the outpouring of support and emotion around this week’s episode.
It was very difficult to watch the scenes involving Savannah’s car accident and living that nightmare all over again. Anyone who has been affected by a bad accident knows how the feeling of dread can haunt you at any time; it’s both numbing and debilitating. Personally, I was physically sick for days following Savannah’s accident and those feelings still hit me at random times.
As parents, we all dread that phone call in the middle of the night because you don’t know what’s waiting for you on the other end. It’s a fear that starts on the day your children are born and, believe me, it never goes away. By the grace of God, we’re all still here and that is the most humbling feeling in the world.
I’ve told you before that our show never holds back -- all of our insanity, laughter, and serious issues are exposed for the world to see. Our only hope is that you connect with us on some level and say, ‘I learned something valuable from that,' or ‘Hey, that’s like me!’ or even ‘My family does that too!’ When that happens, it makes living under the microscope worth it. There are so many universal things -- happy and sad -- that unite us and those connections with our fans are why we love doing this show.
So now you’ve seen me ugly-cry! Hopefully, you found something to laugh about in this week’s episode, too (I think Grayson takes the trophy for this week’s funniest moment)!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being the best fans in the world. God bless, stay safe, and I’ll talk to you soon.
