Dear Chrisley Nation:
This week has been busy, busy, busy, so let’s get right to it and talk about this week’s season premiere of Chrisley Knows Best.
As many of you noticed, we’ve moved to Nashville to be closer to Savannah, but we still maintain our home in Atlanta so that we can go back and forth. We absolutely love our new house and we’re in the process of decorating right now -- and we especially love that there’s far less traffic in Nashville than in Atlanta!
Even with Chase and Savannah at college, the house is not as quiet as people might think. We still have Grayson and Chloe here, and we have Savannah coming back every day to eat lunch and dinner with us! Plus, Chase is here on weekends. Honestly, it’s not much more quiet than before they left for college...
People have asked me if I think Savannah’s party might have been too over-the-top to which I say, absolutely not! It was not over-the-top enough! Also, how insulting was that thing with the question bowl? I wrote all those questions so I knew I was the answer for every last one of them, and then Savannah flipped the script on me!
I will say that when Savannah came down the stairs in her gown, it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life. In my mind, she was that same little girl in her riding gear when I took her for her first riding lesson. That was all I could think about in that moment.
Honestly, pageantry is a bit of an oxymoron for me -- what dad wants to see his daughter parading around in a two-piece and heels? Also, when was the last time you saw someone by the pool in a bikini and stilettos?? The thing is, though, when one of our kids comes to us and says they have a passion for doing something, Julie and I get behind them 100%. I could not be more proud.
And for anyone who says they like Chase’s new “homeless” look? All I can say is that only reconfirms what shape this country is in right now!
I can’t wait for you to see next week’s episode. It is probably the only episode -- of all the episodes in all the seasons -- where I finally feel vindicated by the consequences for Chase’s stupidity!
