Dear Chrisley Nation:
Well, hello, hello, hello! First off, thank you so much to everyone who shared their well wishes about my gout! For those of you who have experienced it -- or know someone who has -- y’all know how painful and inconvenient it is. It may be the disease of royalty (no surprises here), but mostly, it’s a royal pain in the ass -- and in the FOOT!
Am I the best patient? No, not really, but it doesn’t take much for me the appreciate how important our health is and that, when you don’t feel 100%, nothing else really seems to matter. This family has gone through its share of health issues -- big and small -- and every single time we come through the other side, it’s a true blessing from God!
My bout with gout definitely highlighted that I need to make some changes to my lifestyle. Maybe there’s more non-potato vegetables and water in my future (God, how I hate drinking water...), but I’ll tell you one thing I’m not going to do: enlist Chase as my personal trainer! Could you believe him last night? I guess I should be happy that my son showed an interest in a respectable woman (!!!), but come on, son! That stuff with Allison was just embarrassing. Maybe I’m the one who should be coaching him…
Finally, I’m so proud of Julie for doing the 5K! That woman continues to amaze and inspire me every day and I love that y’all get to share in what it’s like to know her. Thank you for continuing to support this family and showing up every Tuesday -- it means the world to us! See you next week!
