It’s time for the return of Rokerthon! Our friend Al Roker at the TODAY Show will attempt to set another Guinness World Record this year by broadcasting the weather from all 50 states within one week. He starts this Friday, November 6 in Hawaii and will wrap up on Friday, November 13. In preparation for Al's exciting journey, we tried to imagine some helpful travel tips from the family that knows a thing or two about road trips: The Chrisleys! Check out what we think each of their road trip tips would be below, and be sure to follow Al’s monumental attempt next week here.
CHRISLEY TRAVEL TIPS
Julie - Stay flexible! It’s great to have a plan but something always comes up when you’re travelling and the more you can roll with it, the less you’ll be stomping and pulling your hair out and just generally driving yourself and everyone else crazy. Having a travel partner for life who can be a little rigid teaches you a thing or two!
Savannah – Get yourself a selfie stick. It takes the best pictures and it makes you look ten times better. It really does.
Faye – Wherever you are going, make sure to find a good bar and get a drink. It’s the best way to meet interesting local people and it will help you unwind after a long day of travelling.
Todd – Pack multiple changes of outfits for every day of your trip. It doesn’t matter where you’re going, if you look good you’ll have a good time. And you can’t do that if you show up in yesterday’s clothes looking like the southern end of a northbound mule.
Chase – Number one, bring hair gel, because you can’t stunt if your hair is messed up. Number two, make sure you stop at the best club in every city because what good is stunting if no one can see you?
Lindsey – Bring snacks! When you have a toddler, you learn pretty quickly that travelling with people who are hungry and grouchy is a good way to spoil a trip.
Grayson – Definitely make sure you have an iPad. That way you’ll always be entertained, even when you have to do boring things like going sightseeing.
Miley – The backbone of any good roadtrip is the soundtrack, so make sure you bring some good tunes you can howl along to!
