Q & A

All three, at the same time. Our approach is to design while building, and build as you're designing, "accessing the brain through the hands." Such a non-linear process of "chaotic magic" results in more thoughtful, meaningful solutions that are the result of the making, not a formulaic "first we do this, then this, then that."

When you were a kid, what did you dream of designing and/or building?
I was less a dreamer than I was a doer. I built a treehouse in the woods as a kid, and a fort with my sister, which had a deconstructed rotary telephone dial as it's "entry system" (I drew a lot of inspiration from MacGyver).

Fill in the blank: I'm inspired by my high school students.
