Q & AWhat is one thing you wish people knew about micro-lending? On Kiva, microlending isn't just a powerful method of poverty alleviation, it's a tool to connect people to each other. How does modern technology affect what you do? The web allows us to instantly connect with someone on the other side of the world - when done right, that connection can create lasting positive change. What are some of your favorite organizations making a difference? I'm involved with - and love - Opportunity International, Global Health Corps, GOOD (not just the magazine, but the entire media company, and I'm a fan of all they're doing). Additionally, I'm launching a new platform this spring, Profounder (www.profounder.com), to enable small businesses in the U.S. to source the capital they need through community engagement.
