PROFILE
They burst onto the scene in 1994 with the platinum-selling album Dookie, and over fifteen years later Green Day is still one of music's biggest acts-no easy feat, as the many one-hit-wonders of the world can attest to. Incorporating a mix of pop, punk and rock, the band has created a distinctive sound and demonstrated a unique ability for reinvention. Now, after proving their staying power and redefining rock for a new generation (and picking up yet another Grammy this past January) these Character Approved musicians are taking on the Great White Way with their new musical American Idiot. And if the band's history is any indication, Broadway may never be the same.
