ABOUT NARCISO
With a signature style that is at once clean-lined, classic and effortlessly modern, Narciso Rodriguez has emerged as one of the fashion industry's most admired contemporary designers. At the helm of his eponymous line-and previously, during stints at Anne Klein, Calvin Klein, TSE, Cerruti, and Loewe-Rodriguez has created collections that have defined understated elegance and reinvented American style. Since debuting his own line in 1997, Rodriguez has won numerous awards for his work, including two consecutive "Womenswear Designer of the Year" awards from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2002 and 2003-becoming the first designer in history to win two such awards back-to-back. But the multiple award-winner has hardly been resting on his laurels: in recent years he has launched several award-winning fragrances, collaborated on a number of film, television, and theatrical projects, and has been featured in multiple museum exhibits. Last year brought Rodriguez yet another CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year nomination, and the coming year is looking equally bright for Rodriguez-not to mention his loyal fans, who will no doubt be delighted to hear that the designer will soon be launching a line of moderately priced pieces to be distributed by eBay.
