ABOUT NORA
It could be said that Nora Ephron has writing in her blood - her parents were successful screenwriters, and her sisters are also accomplished writers -but genetics alone simply can't account for the extraordinary level of success Ephron has achieved in the literary and film world. The New York-based journalist, novelist, playwright, screenwriter and director got her start writing for publications such as The New York Post and Esquire magazine, before going on to publish several books, including Crazy Salad, Scribble, Scribble and Heartburn. Her most recent book, I Feel Bad About My Neck: And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman, was a number one best seller. Ephron's notable career in film includes writer-director credits for When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, and You've Got Mail, and she has received three screenwriting Oscar nominations to date. Ephron is also an accomplished playwright; her latest play, Love, Loss and What I Wore, written with her sister Delia Ephron, is currently running Off-Broadway. Ephron's latest film, Julie & Julia, stars Amy Adams and Academy Award winner Meryl Streep, and has been nominated for multiple awards, including a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Comedy or Musical.
