Necessary Evil

Necessary Evil

Michael and Fiona break into a defense contractor's office to learn who Anson's been communicating with. In doing so, they stumble upon a startling truth: Anson's associate is Benny (Ep. 510), Madeline's boyfriend. Knowing how much this information could hurt her, Michael holds off on telling Madeline until he can be absolutely sure of Benny's involvement.

While Michael looks for more evidence linking Benny to Anson, the CIA needs his help dealing with a rogue weapons engineer, William Resnik. Resnik has recently started working for a Liberian chemical company and Agent Pearce wants Michael to send Sam and Jesse undercover to check it out.

It turns out, though, that Resnik hasn't gone rogue. He's actually being held prisoner by a psychotic Liberian warlord. If Resnik doesn't build him a state-of-the-art missile, the warlord has threatened to kill Resnik's daughter. To help Resnik stall, Sam and Jesse allow themselves to become prisoners as well. Now it's up to Michael to find a way to save everyone involved before the missile is completed and even more lives are put at risk.
